Well Doncaster is proud to share our Annual Report for 2023-24. The report is packed full of examples of using Community Centred Approaches in creating better health and wealth for and with Doncaster's communities.

Read how Community Wealth Builder has been supporting new and existing Voluntary Community and Faith Groups reach more people through accessing funding, training and starting new initiatives including Netwalking and Soup Dragons.

Get the latest update on how Be Well has been using health coaching to support residents meet their health goals and how we have been sharing our approach and learning . You can also find out how Peer Groups are supporting better health and wellbeing and connecting people with their community.

You can also find more information on how we created Community Profiles for all 88 natural communities across Doncaster. The Community Profiles bring together 26 national and local sources such as; school attainment, economic activity, active travel, leading health conditions, community priorities and investment.

The report highlights how Well Doncaster has facilitated £3.5 million to be invested in communities across the city since 2016 via a range of participatory budgeting techniques to meet community priorities.

With pride, I am introducing the 2023 – 2024 Annual Report from Well Doncaster. The report describes how the Well Doncaster approach has developed and grown since 2015, and through stories, testimonies and impressive statistics, the report presents the many positive impacts and outcomes that community centred approaches to reducing health and wealth inequalities have on individuals and communities.

In the last year, the Well Doncaster approach has focused on enabling communities to enhance and improve the many positive assets that provide the building blocks for great health and wellbeing. Rooted in evidence based methods for coproduction and community voice, the team have built capacity and supported sustainability for communities, enabling opportunities for physical activity, strong community leadership and access to resources.
