I joined the Well Doncaster team in March 2023, with a focus on supporting new and existing community groups through Community Wealth Builder. I have four years experience across the country working with communities' groups with a focus on designing and delivering social action projects with young people and exploring how they can make their community better.

I then moved to work for environmental charity where I worked across Yorkshire to improve green spaces, by running workshops, designing local parks and supporting community groups to develop and access funding. This included supporting grass roots organisations such as Friends of groups in developing their legal structures, funding applications etc. I have experience managing and administering grants ranging from £500-£20,000 and supported over 300 community groups in West Yorkshire access funding, become constituted, develop into CIC and Charities and delivery training through various capacity building sessions.

I live in Doncaster and am active in supporting my own community and Well Doncaster gives me the opportunity to support more communities across the city.

Fun fact: I am a qualified open water diver and have swum with sharks 3 times.

What people appreciate about me: I am passionate about the work I do, I am understanding and a hard working. I always do my very best to support each individual, group and community to achieve what they want to achieve and can see the potential in everyone.

What is important to me: Supporting the people who I care about, whether this is my family, friends or my community. In addition, being outdoors surrounded by nature and appreciating the little things we have.

The thing I enjoy best about being a Public Health Improvement Officer: I love helping the groups and communities to develop, become independent and watch them support the local area to thrive. I enjoy hearing the different ideas groups and individuals have and watch them grow into amazing projects.
