I am originally from Derbyshire where I studied Sport and Exercise Studies at Derby Uni and then completed my Masters Degree in Sport and Exercise Studies at Sheffield Hallam University. My first job out of university was when I started my work with communities in 2019 for a small council in Derbyshire.
I stayed in Derbyshire for a year and a half working with the lovely community groups there, when I decided to move to Rotherham. After completing a number of different roles which involved helping the community, helping fundraising groups and providing guidance I found a role within the City of Doncaster Council.
I have completed my walk leader training, Dementia friends training and in my spare time I have been completing a Level 3 Animal course.
I am now looking forward to starting my role as a Public Health Improvement Officer to understand and become embedded with in the communities that are based in the South of Doncaster.
Fun fact: I am a Commonwealth Champion in the sport of Lifesaving which I competed in for 20 years and I’ve just passed my CBT bike licence.
What people appreciate about me: My honesty and transparent approach to things.
What is important to me: Family, honesty and of course my little puppy.
The thing I enjoy best about being part of Well Doncaster: Being out and about in the community, meeting passionate people that may just need a helping hand or pointing in the right direction to make their vision become a reality… and of course our office dog MONTY!
