Boss your Health and Wellbeing CIC
Article Added: 20/09/24
Rachel approached the Community Wealth Builder Team through a recommendation from another Voluntary, Community, Social Enterprise. She expressed an interest in setting up a Community Interest Company (CIC), initially called Boss your Menopause, with the aim of supporting Woman going through the menopause. An initial diagnostic assessment was undertaken to fully understand the short, medium and long term goals, working with Rachel to break down these goals into small manageable steps. Information on the different legal structures on offer and how to set up these organisations was discussed, and written information was provided. Rachel decided that a CIC was the route best suited to her needs, step by step guides, links to videos and further information was provided and the offer of further support to guide Rachel through the process was offered.
A few weeks later Rachel got in touch, she had decided to change the focus of the group and while she still supporting menopausal women she wanted to reach out and support her community further. This is the moment that Boss your Health and Wellbeing was born!
Through a tailored package of support Rachel successfully registered her, set up a bank account and is taking the first steps to achieve her goals and support residents in Doncaster to improve their health and wellbeing.
Keep a look out for Boss Your Health and Wellbeing they are going to do great things!
