Spotlight: Worth Unlimited

The mission of Worth Unlimited is to ‘make an impact on the lives of young people so that they experience enhanced self-esteem and self-confidence leading to keen engagement, aspirational goals, and higher levels of achievement’. 

They provide a mentoring programme to young people aged from 5 to 18 years of age, usually on a one to one basis but there are some small group courses in building self-esteem, anger management and conflict resolution alongside training young people to be peer mentors. 

Worth Unlimited works with schools and tailors courses to the needs of young people, an example of which is a course on exam stress for Year 11 students. 

Community Wealth Builder has provided support with applying for Local Solutions Community Investment Fund, where funds of £17,230 were awarded.  This funded supported them to provide mentoring and one to one support in secondary and primary schools in Doncaster and helped them to recruit more volunteers to support this work.  They were introduced to other Community Wealth Builder members who could support them with marketing etc.  They were also able to access free training to support their organisation to grow and flourish.
